Navigating Transitions: Bold Leadership for Uncertain Times
Geopolitical instability. Climate disruption. Shrinking civic space. The leaders who move well through this moment aren't the most certain ones. They've learned to move with integrity through what they don't fully understand. I've worked across WEF, EU institutions, and frontline climate work. This talk is about what bold leadership actually looks like when you can't see the path ahead.
System Change 101
Most organisations trying to change the world run the same playbook that made the problem. This talk stays practical. What does regeneration mean beyond the buzzword? Where do you start if you want to work on the whole system, not just a piece of it? It's rooted in 10+ years of hands-on work across climate, finance, governance, and community.
Meeting the Moment: Leveraging Youth Leadership
Institutions say they want youth involvement. There's a difference between consulting young people and actually shifting power to them. I served on the European Commission's Youth Sounding Board, 1 of 25 selected from 4,000+ applicants across 150 countries, and I'm a WEF Global Shaper. This talk is a frank look at what real intergenerational collaboration takes, and what gets in the way.
Leveraging Technology for Good
AI, Web3, open payment infrastructure, quantum computing. These technologies will reshape society either way. The real question is whether the people designing them are asking the right questions. I build real blockchain infrastructure at Bread Cooperative, and I've done policy work across EU institutions. So I can talk about what these tools actually do, and what they should do.
Islands at the Forefront
Small Island Developing States are not the footnote of the climate crisis. They're the frontline. Growing up in Curaçao taught me something no institution can fully teach: what it means to live with real vulnerability, real interdependence, and real stakes. This talk brings the Caribbean perspective into rooms that rarely hear it directly, and asks what the margins reveal about the whole.
